More macro fun!

I played around a bit more with the macro lens I rented yesterday, and today, among other shots, I took some photos of oil in water - same experiment as on March 12, but oh, what a difference a macro lens makes!!

Macro experimenting

I rented a macro lens today from a local camera shop. Wanted to test drive it before I buy one (in a month or so, maybe). Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to play around with it this afternoon/evening. This is a shot of the curtains hanging above our kitchen sink.

Tomatoes

I'm not thrilled with this photo, but it's late and I'm tired...

Sigg bottles rock!

Mario's water bottle - it's in decidedly better shape than mine...

A baby

I did a photo shoot of a baby today - this one won't make the final cut: too blurry. But it's a photo I took today, and darn it, I just don't feel like thinking any more tonight to do anything else!

Shoes

How the hell can a family of four (five, if you count the dog) seriously have THIS MANY shoes sitting out?!?! There really is an explanation for all of them, but it'd just sound like I'm making excuses... Shot on Auto.

Daily life

No matter how long I stare at the contents of the fridge every day and wish it to be so, dinner does NOT magically appear...

My old Nikon

My college workhorse camera - a Nikon FE. I keep it around for sentimentality... This was shot TTV so the image was backwards - I flipped it in Photoshop so the words appear properly. Shot at 1600 ISO for added grain (and lack of light...).

Another TTV shot today. Miriam at my father-in-law's for Easter brunch.

A dandelion as seen TTV

I finally found/made the time to make my contraption to shoot through-the-viewfinder (TTV) of the old Duaflex camera I got on ebay a while ago! I spent a while taking the Duaflex apart yesterday, too, to clean the lens, mirror and viewfinder - wow, was it cruddy! So after I finished the contraption I couldn't wait to experiment with it a bit, and this is one of the shots.

Coins

The Easter bunny is going to be leaving mostly coins in the eggs this year and just a bit of candy. Looks like I need to go to the bank for more quarters...

One week later...

The kids and I went out of town last Friday for the weekend, and I was running around like mad before that so I got a little behind on posting my photos... Getting up-to-date finally.

Today - this is an Easter basket Miriam made in school. She ate the egg that was in it and replaced it with a dandelion. I like the dreamlike quality of this photo.

Max is sleeping...again

No desire at all today to do anything - what you see is what you get.
